The Heath is a great semi-natural park, saved from urbanisation by a famous victory in the nineteenth century. It has woods, ponds, walks and fine views over London. Two of the ponds are used for outdoor swimming. Though not a 'designed space', parts of the Heath have the character of a Serpentine Style park.
