The garden is on the opposite bank of the River Yamuna to Agra's Red Fort. It is a classic tomb garden with stone-edged flower beds on the lawns. This is unlikely to have been the original planting pattern. The garden was designed by Nur Jahan (wife of Jahangir) for her father's tomb on the bank of the River Jumna. He was born in Persia.
