Gardenvisit Editorial

The original design was by the old landscape architecture firm of Hare and Hare. They proposed formal gardens in the central area and treating most of the site as a landscape. There is an Azalea Garden, a Hosta Glade and a number of gardens designed by well-known landscape architects. Koichi Kawana designed a Japanese Garden and there is work by John Simonds, Michael Van Valkenburgh and Jim Hagstrom. It is an enlightened policy for getting both quality and variety in the designed landscape.
