Tohono Chul is a 49-acre non-profit nature preserve. The name means 'desert corner' and the park has the character of an oasis in the Sonoran Desert. Much of the land remains desert, but there are also theme gardens. Covering everything from xeriscaping (waterless gardening), wildflowers and Riparian habitats, the theme gardens are designed so that homeowners may download the specs and put them in their own yards.
