Villa Petraia

Cosimo I de Medici made a renaissance villa here after 1537. It is illustrated on one of Utens lunettes. The garden has three terraces with the house on the top terrace and a splendid view of Florence from the lower terrace. The middle terrace has citrus trees and a fish pond.
