Scots landscapeï¾ architect, from an Orkney family. Brian Clouston trained at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh and then, under Brian Hackett at the University of Newcastle. He went on to found Brian Clouston and Partners which became, for a time, the largest landscape architecture practice in Europe. The practice was floated on the stock exchange in the 1980s, after which the dividends paid to stock holders became a drain on revenue. The firm's founder took early retirement but the practice continues to operate under his name. The Aztec Business Park and the Surrey Docks were amongst the firm's most significant projects.
