Christophe Girot was born in Paris in 1957 and studied Environmental Planning and Management at the University of California, Davis, and landscape architecture at the University of California, Berkeley. Returning to France he became a teacher and then Chairman of the Landscape Department at Ecole Nationale Sup�rieure du Paysage in Versailles, France. In 2001 he became Chair of Landscape Architecture at the ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Girot runs a design office in Paris with his wife Yael Ifrah.
