Born Susan Parnes, she became the secretary and then wife of Geoffrey Jellicoe. She was skilled in modern languages, photography and planting design. Susan was responsible for the planting design on all of Geoffrey Jellicoe's designs. Examples of her work can be seen at The Water Garden in Hemel Hempsted and the Kennedy Memorial in Runnymede and Sutton Place in Surrey.
