Château de la Napoule

A fourteenth century fortified chateau by the sea that was in ruins when Henry Clews Jr (sculptor) and his wife Marie Clews (landscape architect) rebuilt it in the early twentieth century. The garden was created by Marie between 1919 and 1937.
