The Synergetic Gardens form part of the City of Energy in Shawinigan. They were formed as part of a project to turn Melville Island from an industrial site into a tourist attraction - in the now pollution-free St. Maurice River. The gardens are around the science center and feature bedding displays. Note that 'synergy' describes the interaction of two or more agents so that their combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects. Synergy is fundamental to the operation of natural habitats but less commonly found in floral bedding displays.
